Our CEO, Stephane Monsallier, had the honor of leading a dynamic session on the potential and application of Generative AI for businesses. On January 11th, Shanghai’s vibrant startup community gathered for a night of learning and networking at the Startup Grind event. On a brisk December morning in Shanghai, a buzzing crowd of entrepreneurs gathered for the Founders Breakfast - a weekly meetup aimed at connecting startups and founders to the entrepreneurial ecosystem through expert talks and trustful connections. The agenda for Friday, December 15th was a highly anticipated presentation on empowering knowledge workers with Artificial Intelligence (AI). This was a timely topic given the increasing interest in AI and its potential impact on the entrepreneurial landscape.

Introduction to Generative AI In the ever-evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI has emerged as a frontier in content creation, including image generation. While this technology has proven to be a game-changer, it’s important to remember that the successful application of generative AI requires the human touch, both at the beginning and at the end of the process.

In this event, Etienne Charlier and I described how AI image generation work, how it can be used by companies, what are the new paradigm to create to use this new tool.

Companies collect, store, process, and analyze data to make decisions. But the data is lying, the decision may not be the best, despite great care and effort. Why would data lie to you? There are many reasons why the data is lying. That could be the result of one of several mistakes at any stage of the process. That could be conscious or unconscious bias from one of the actors of the processing chain. There could be an agenda behind the data manipulation, or it could be an unfortunate coincidence. As companies are more and more data-driven, there is a tension between automating as much as possible the data management and processing, and the need for a bit of caution. There is a strong incentive to trust the data, but there should be a healthy suspicion about the data. Data must be treated as questionable until proven trustworthy.
